Rev. Oakley received his music training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ed and his wife, Marsha, have two daughters and three grandchildren.

Robin graduated from both Anderson College and the University of South Carolina. She has served at a church in Alabama. She is the mother of three daughters.
